“Will Get Better” About Us was originally used for something more personal and focused on me rather than the ranch. Today, the ranch operates out of Buffalo, Wyoming, carrying forward the same commitment to excellence that has defined the Harfst name from the beginning.

Our registered Hereford program is built around three key traits: maternal strength, docility, and power. We produce show-quality cattle that are easy-keeping, good-footed, and built to perform—whether they’re raising a calf in the pasture or standing in the show ring.

From small fairs to Jr. Nationals, the Harfst name has been a consistent presence in the show pen. Our daughter, Sara Harfst, manages the day-to-day operations and the show string. She showed her first Hereford at age 9, earned Top 10 Showman at Jr. Nationals multiple times, and was nominated for Jr. Hereford Herdsman of the Year twice.

Now serving as the Wyoming Jr. Hereford Advisor, Sara’s goal is to continue expanding the program and proving that Harfst cattle can compete anywhere in the country.
